Isis Pharmaceuticals has appointed Paula Soteropoulos as president and chief executive officer of Akcea Therapeutics, Isis’ lipid franchise subsidiary responsible for the development and commercialization of ISIS-APOCIII, ISIS-APO(a), ISIS-ANGPTL3, and its more potent LICA follow-ons.
